Before you ride

Route Planning

The fastest route is the wrong route. GripRoute builds rides around corners, scenery, and the stops you actually want.

PRO

Twisty Route Generator

A guided wizard: pick a vibe — Twisty, Scenic, Relaxed, or Mixed — a distance, a curviness level, and your road and surface types. A live preview redraws as you tune it.

PRO

Adventure Mode

No plan, no problem. Point a direction, pick a distance and road type, and GripRoute invents the loop on the spot and drops you straight into preview.

PRO

Circuit Tour Builder

Chain several stops into a single looping tour, building each leg as its own stage and bringing you back where you started.

PRO

Road Trip Wizard

Set a daily mileage target and a lodging style, pick a start and end, and it lays out a multi-day journey with stages and gas stops already placed.

Manual Route Builder

Build from scratch: search for waypoints, drop them in order, drag to reorder, and name each one. The polyline updates live as you go.

Points of Interest

Browse gas, food, lodging, and scenic spots along your route and drop any of them in as a waypoint, whether you're using the wizard or building by hand.

Multi-Day Journeys

One tank or one week. Big trips break into stages, each with its own route, mileage target, and fuel already sorted.

PRO

Stage-by-Stage Planning

A journey is a named container of daily stages — each with a start, an end, a planned distance, and your own notes, tracked from Planning through Completed.

Launch Any Stage

Start a single day's ride straight from the journey screen, with that stage's planned gas stops already dropped in as waypoints.

Progress That Carries

An overall completion percentage plus a per-stage breakdown — miles done, miles left, and your average day — updated as you go.

Lodging & Accommodations

Store the where-you're-sleeping for each night: name, address, phone, confirmation number, nightly price, and a motorcycle-friendly flag.

Trip-Wide Numbers

Total planned and actual mileage, estimated fuel burned and its cost from your active bike's MPG, waypoint counts, and accommodations — all totaled for you.

Your machines

Garage & Fuel

Real tank sizes and measured MPG keep the range on your map honest — and keep every bike sharp.

Motorcycle Profiles

Make, model, year, tank size, average MPG, and a color for every bike. Set one active to drive fuel math and ride logging. Free riders keep one; Pro unlocks the whole garage.

Live Fuel Range

Your current fuel level times your bike's real MPG gives a range estimate on the GripBar, fading green → yellow → red as the tank drains.

Fill-Up Log

Log every fill: date, gallons, level after, price per gallon, and where. It keeps your range estimate grounded in reality, not a spec sheet.

PRO

Maintenance Reminders

Oil, chain, tires, plugs, brake fluid, tune-ups — each with a mileage interval and last-service odometer. GripRoute nudges you when one comes due.

Look back

Ride History

Every ride logs itself. The numbers add up to a picture of how — and how much — you actually ride.

Automatic Ride Logging

Each navigation session writes an entry: start and end, distance, duration, fuel used and its cost, tied to the bike you rode and the route you took.

Analytics Dashboard

Charts across week, month, or year: total distance and time, rides per month, average ride, fuel cost, and your most-ridden routes.

Route History & Favorites

Every saved route remembers how many times you've ridden it and when you last did — so your go-to loops rise to the top.

PRO

Advanced Fuel Analytics

Dig into real-world versus theoretical MPG and efficiency over time, so the range math only gets sharper the more you ride.

Ride covered

Safety & SOS

Riding alone is the point — until it isn't. GripRoute watches for the moment it stops being fun, and it's free for every rider.

On-Device Crash Detection

Motion sensors watch for the impact spike and the stillness after it — the signature of a crash — with Low, Medium, and High sensitivity tuned for spirited riding, not false alarms.

SOS With Live Location

A 30-second countdown you can wave off with a gloved thumb. If it runs out, an SOS text with your live GPS goes to up to five contacts. Nothing sends without you.

Manual SOS

Skip the countdown and trigger the whole flow yourself the instant you need eyes on your location.

Read the sky

Weather & Radar

Weather makes or breaks a ride. GripRoute puts the sky on your map and calls it before it soaks you.

Live Radar Overlay

Precipitation painted right onto the map with an intensity legend, refreshed as you ride so you can see the wall of rain before you're in it.

Weather Alert Banners

Active warnings along your route surface as swipeable cards — type, severity, and the area affected — and won't nag you twice in a session.

Weather at Your ETA

The route screen shows conditions at your destination for the time you'll actually arrive — temperature, chance of rain, and wind.

Weather-Aware Rerouting

GripRoute keeps checking conditions ahead. If it turns severe, it can route you around the worst of it.

Daily Ride Check

A morning heads-up that reads the day's temp, wind, and rain and calls it — from "great day to ride" to stay-off-the-bike. Pick the time; wake up knowing.

On the big screen

CarPlay

For the days on four wheels — or a bike with a CarPlay dash. The full experience, on the display that's built in. Free for everyone.

CarPlay Navigation

Full turn-by-turn on the car's display — the same maneuver banner, ETA, and distance as the phone, with pause, end, and hazard-mark right there.

Route Browser

Flip through your saved routes from the CarPlay screen, see the alternates for one, and start navigating without touching your phone.

Destination Search

Search for anywhere from the dash and tap to go — or just ask Siri to navigate there in GripRoute.

Hands on the bars

Siri & Live Activity

The best control is the one you never reach for. Speak it, or glance at it — your hands stay where they belong.

Saved Spots by Voice

"Hey Siri, navigate to the overlook in GripRoute." Any saved waypoint, launched by voice — Siri even offers a picker of your spots.

Navigate Home

One phrase — "navigate home in GripRoute" — points you at your set home address and starts the ride.

Adventure by Voice

"Adventure mode in GripRoute" opens the spontaneous-ride flow, ready to spin up a loop before you've even put your gloves on.

Lock-Screen Live Activity

Your next maneuver and ETA live on the lock screen and Dynamic Island, so a glance is all it takes — no unlocking, no digging.

Shortcuts & Action Button

Every voice command is a Shortcut too — wire them into automations, widgets, or the Action Button.

Riders ahead

Community

The best road intel comes from the riders who just came through. Shared anonymously, kept honest.

Rider Hazard Alerts

Debris, potholes, animals, accidents — flagged by riders, shared with riders, anonymously. Reports expire after 30 days so the map stays current.

Police & Speed Traps Stay Put

Mark them if you like — but those markers never leave your device. They're for you, not the network.

PRO

Community Route Sharing

Publish a route you love and pull down ones other riders have shared — a growing library of roads worth the trip.

Wind therapy

Ride Journal

Every ride becomes a journal entry. The context writes itself — you just say how it felt.

Logged Without a Glove Off

Date, route, distance, duration, weather, and which bike — every entry fills itself in the moment the ride ends.

Set Out With Intention

A ten-second mood check and what you're riding toward, right before you roll. Optional, always.

Close the Loop

Post-ride mood, notes, and the one moment worth keeping — captured while the engine's still ticking.

Proof You Came Back Better

GripRoute tracks your mood from rollout to return, ride after ride. The delta says what riders already know.

Yours, kept yours

Sync & Privacy

Your rides, bikes, and journal follow you across devices — and stop there. No account, nothing to mine.

iCloud Sync

Bikes, routes, ride logs, journeys, and journal sync across your devices through your own iCloud. No iCloud? It falls back to local storage without missing a beat.

Route Export

Export any route as a shareable file — waypoints, hazards, and history included — over AirDrop, Files, or Mail.

No Account Required

No sign-up, no login, no email wall. Download it and ride — your data is yours from the first mile.

Opt-Out Analytics

Usage analytics are anonymous and optional. Turn behavioral tracking off entirely; your journal and routes are never part of it.
